SCHOOL BUS RULES

School rules around behaviour also apply while travelling on the bus, to and from school. Any poor behaviour may result in removal from the bus for a period of time, a term, or permanently.

  • Students waiting for buses must wait inside the school grounds. Any student leaving the school grounds (to go to Countdown or shops etc) will be deemed to have left school for the day and will be unable to travel on the bus.
  • Students must remain on the bus all the way to school. They do not get off at other stops such as ‘Girls’ College or Tauranga Intermediate.
  • Once students have arrived at school by bus, they must stay inside the school grounds.
  • Respect for the driver and others is required at all times.

RURAL SCHOOL BUS:

All students travelling on the rural school bus service must have a rural bus pass. If a student loses their bus pass they will need to contact the bus company to re-order a new pass ASAP. Most of these buses are free, however students travelling in from Omokoroa Point and its surrounds, pay a nominal bus fee to access the rural bus service (as we are not the closest school so MOE does not fund this bus service).

We will notify you when your bus pass is available for pickup at the school office.

To be eligible for a ride on the Rural School Bus your family needs to live beyond the limits of the Regional Council’s School Bus Service. For more information, click here.
