Note: both competitions are typically held at Rocktopia Climbing Gym in Mount Maunganui.

TRAINING

We have a dedicated TBC coaching night at Rocktopia Climbing Gym with the majority if boys choosing to have a full membership to train on additional days. Both Juniors and Seniors train together, coached by Rocktopia Staff. 

UNIFORM

Any clothing can be worn for training, with Tauranga Boys' College singlets being provided for competitions. You can hire  shoes from Rocktopia, but it is recommended that you purchase your own shoes once you know you enjoy the sport. 

FEE STRUCTURE

Coaching sessions at Rocktopia Climbing Gym, Mount Maunganui cost per session are as follows:

$13.50 for those boys with a gym membership ($140 for 3 months)
$24.00 for non gym members 
An additional fee of $6 for hiring climbing shoes if you want - but you can wear running shoes. The use of a climbing Harness is included in the costs above.

HOW TO GET INVOLVED

Information regarding musters, Google sign-ups, trials, and training schedules will be shared during school assembly and included in the daily information sheet. For further enquiries, please contact the teacher-in-charge.
